Laila Petrillo, Reiki Master/Teacher/Holistic Practitioner

Laila Petrillo was a certified Reiki Master and Teacher , with additional certifications in hypnotherapy, and homeopathy which she used in her Reiki practice. Laila’s practice of the Healing Arts was a continuation of family tradition reaching several generations back. It was through her husband’s cancer and passing that she then had a driving force to do further research in the subjects of spiritual awareness and healing. She considered Reiki the most appealing technique.

Laila’s mission in Reiki was to bring a scientific method to the practice of it. This led her to write comprehensive Reiki manuals for teaching which reflected the Usui Tibetan style of Reiki. Laila received four Reiki Master trainings on her path, the last one with William Lee Rand a well known, influential Reiki/Master teacher in our times.

Laila passed away on January 23,2006. She passed her practice on to Jeanne Schirm, RN and Paul Speziale, JD. They have edited and fine tuned her manuals to bring them into the future and continue Laila’s practice under the new name Essential Reiki Healing and Training Center.

Jeanne Schirm, RN, Reiki Master/Teacher, Holistic Practitioner

Jeanne Schirm is a registered nurse who at an early age had a lively interest in medicine and natural means of healing. She lived in a community for many years, called the Fellowship Community a multi-generational community centered around the care of the elderly in Spring Valley, NY. Here she learned the care of the elderly and was first introduced to Homeopathy and other healing means used in their care. This led to a path of going back to school and attaining a degree in nursing which resulted in living and working outside the community in various capacities as a nurse including school nursing. It also led to the study of Anthroposophical medicine and nursing, Reiki, holistic healing, and a mission to bridge the gap wherever possible between traditional western medicine and natural healing methods out of a scientific orientation. Jeanne is a traditional Usui REIKI RYOHO Reiki Master/Teacher using the Usui/Tibetan system of healing. Jeanne is a member of the International Associaiton of Reiki Professionals.

Paul Speziale, JD, Reiki Master/Teacher, Holistic Practitioner

Paul Speziale, J.D. was graduated from William Paterson College in 1975 with a B.A. in Fine and Performing Arts. While pursuing a career in music, he attended and received a Juris Doctorate From Western New England College School of Law. His twenty years of legal experience in the area of pharmaceutical law was a major factor in his search for holistic methods of healing. He has been counsel of record for vaccine injured pettiioners in more than fifty cases under the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. Paul is a Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner and a member of the International Association of Reiki Professionals. He is a traditional Usui REIKI RYOHO Reiki Master/Teacher using the Usui/Tibetan system of healing.
